Because diversity characterizes the Emergent Church movement, it is difficult to paint everyone in the movement with a broad brush. Some have observed that defining the Emergent Church is like nailing jello to a wall. All participants agree on their disillusionment with the institutional church, but do not all agree on where the church is destined to go from here. They share a common concern with many evangelicals over the state of the modern church, especially the mega-church phenomenon and “seeker-friendly” churches. For this reason, many evangelicals who observe the Emerging Church are fascinated by it, drawn to its creative approaches to worship, genuineness of many of the leaders and desire to reach Gen Xers. This is quite a post from Pastor Rick Warren. The original link appears to be broken, but I retrieved it second-hand from Stand Up For The Truth. Warren tells fans which senior pastors — the top 100 in fact – that he recommends on Twitter. Of course Warren recommends himself, second only to Word of Faith heretic Joel Osteen. This list includes representatives from the most dangerous movements in Christianity today like Word of Faith movement (like Osteen and T.D. Jakes), Seeker-Driven pastors (Bill Hybels, Perry Noble, Steven Furtick, Andy Stanley, Ed Young, Mark Batterson, Kerry Shook, Dan Kimball), New Apostolic Reformation (Bill Johnson), and Hyper-Grace (Joesph Prince) and many more.

Steven Furtick Grows in Stature and Close to Word Faith Movement

Apprising Ministries has been pointing out for over two years now that there is unquestionably a growing syncretism of heretical Word Faith mythology slithering into the theology of apostatizing evangelicalism.

For example, Joel Osteen Moving One Step Closer To Mainstream Evangelicalism, where Rick Warren is set to share the podium for the Hillsong Church Conference 2013 along with Joel Osteen.1

Seeker Driven prophet-leader Steven Furtick is a classic example of just how far this type of cross-pollination has already spread when we consider that he began this past year with the Code Orange Revival.

It would feature a couple of very high profile Word Faith prosperity preachers in Jentezen Franklin and T.D. Jakes. Jakes, after his being mainstreamed right into evangelicalism at ER 2, needs no introduction.2
